Q: How is Iron Profile test performed?

A: Our certified nurse will draw a small sample of your blood from your arm to use for the serum albumin test.

First, she will use an alcohol wipe to clean your skin. They she ties a band around your upper arm to make your veins swell with blood. This will help her find a vein more easily.

Once she found a vein, will insert a needle that’s attached to a vial and draws the blood. It may fill one or more vials.
