Health Guidelines
The year 2020 is the year of Covid-19. This pandemic has brought the world to a standstill. The wheels of the economy have slowed. People’s lives are disrupted. The virus is spreading across the world at an alarming pace. It is claiming more and more lives every day. During the first few months of the spread, we have seen a sharp shortage of sanitizer, and face masks. People were hoarding these items at home. People are frightened and confused and are taking preventive measures to keep themselves safe such as getting a PCR Travel test. Until a vaccine is discovered, we need to follow certain guidelines to save us from further casualties. Let’s have a look at some of the guidelines.

World Health Organization Guidelines

  1. Wash your hands regularly or use a sanitizer

The most important aspect of preventing Covid-19 is to frequently wash hands. You can use soap water or hand cleansers. This virus cannot survive in alcohol-based solutions of gel products. You should wash your hands properly for more than 20 seconds. While you wash, clean both surfaces of the hands. If you go to a public place you should always ensure you wash properly.

  1. Maintain social distancing

The next step is social distancing. WHO suggests people maintain at least 3 feet distance from others in public places. This is a highly contagious disease. It spreads through the sneeze and cough of infected persons. Social distancing prevents you from inhaling it when you are near them. Also, avoid handshakes or other sorts of physical contact.

  1. Isolation

If you show symptoms, consider isolating yourself. This is to ensure that it won’t spread among the members of your family or society. In the meantime, arrange for a PCR travel test. If the TTR is positive, continue to remain isolated. Take treatments as advised by doctors. You should remember that isolation is not a stigma. It is a step for stopping the spread.

  1. Facemask

Wear a facemask when you go out. There should be no gap between your face and the mask. The health workers are the frontline warriors in this war against the pandemic. Therefore you should not consume these covers that are designated for them. Besides, try to maintain a good respiratory habit. Always cover your face with an elbow or cloth before sneezing in public.

  1. Food

You should eat more food that is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C. Vitamin C improves immunity. A strong immune system is necessary for fighting the disease.

  1. Stay up to date on the health guidelines

You should read guidelines from doctors and authentic online sources. WHO website release health guidelines on Covid-19 regularly. Find time to go through them. Stay informed and spread awareness among others also.

Preventive measures from the state

Apart from the individual response, governments around the world have initiated countrywide lockdowns. Commercial flights are suspended. The virus has led to a halt in international travel. The global population is passing through a difficult time now because of this. Strict adherence to preventive measures is a must to stop the further proliferation of the pandemic.
