Good sample management for STDs starts at home when you take your sample. And please do not leave it sitting around the house; instead, wait for some time for you to return it to our Laboratory. Please send it the same day. However, if you do not send it on the same day, it can damage the sample, and you might have to do it again.
And for all STIs, please ensure your sample is activated and registered in your dashboard to avoid the “UFO” status when your sample arrives at the Laboratory. Samples with UFO status are destroyed. And you will need to purchase a new one for £9.50.

The target turnaround time for the swab or urine sample result is one working day from receiving it in the laboratory. And we offer a while-you-wait service for £50 is available.

Firstly, the positive and negative coincidence rates in the STI kit’s positive and negative reference controls were 100%.
No cross-reactivity of the kit between the virus was observed.

Positive/Negative/Inconclusive
Importantly, the accuracy of any of our diagnostic methods is defined as the combination of sensitivity and specificity variables. Accuracy can be affected by various factors that our lab cannot control. Detection
The 3-in-1 profile PCR detection system accurately checks the presence of Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Ureaplasma urealyticum bacteria in the sample. It can accurately distinguish between the presence of each of these common STIs.
Any diagnosis should be discussed with your GP. Results from the Medicines Online screening laboratory are intended to be viewed with a patient’s history, diet, genetics, lifestyle, and other factors that may influence results, which should be shared with your GP when discussing these results.
A positive result suggests the presence of viral particles in the sample during processing. Upon receiving positive results, you should contact your GP for a cure. Any or all of the bacteria checked for may not present symptoms, but you may still spread it to others.
While this can provide reassurance, it is important to understand its significance. This means the exam did not detect the presence at the time of sampling. Therefore, results should still be discussed with a GP while considering lifestyle and history. If you are in contact with someone who has and is positive or has begun to present symptoms, you should contact your GP.
