What is an Immunoglobulin Test Profile?

Ig Blood Test determines how many antibodies are present in the blood. The immune system produces antibodies to protect the body from bacteria, viruses, and allergies.

The Ig Blood test profile includes 3 BioMarkers:

  • Firstly, Type Igg Blood Test: is the most common antibody igg and protects against bacterial and viral infections.
  • Type Igm Blood Test: helps diagnose infections and immunodeficiency alongside other types of cancer and autoimmune diseases.
  • Type Iga Blood Test: is an antibody blood protein which helps fight off sickness.

Please take your sample in the morning. Take it at least one hour before any medication.

It is a fluid in your liver which helps digest food.

To measure the levels of it in your blood. If you have a high level in your blood, it can cause jaundice, which can make your skin and eyes turn yellow.

The major symptoms can be fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, heartburn, constipation, nausea, and yellowing skin and eyes.

Various conditions characterise high levels, some of which can become dangerous or deadly if untreated: hepatitis, cirrhosis, haemolytic anaemia, liver cancer, and gallstones.

Medications, exercise, or certain foods.

To lower your levels, you should stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, have a healthy diet, eat lots of fruits and vegetables and eat wholegrain bread, brown rice, and potatoes, to increase your fibre intake.
