Woman Smelling Money
It seems not long ago when the first patient emerged back in December. And in only a short period, Covid-19 has conquered almost 212 countries of the world. Many new lands and people are still falling into the deadly grasp each day. Many are still in fear, and a lot suffer from this lethal virus. As for its current development, there is no cure for this deadly virus. The only possible cure is prevention by doing an antibody test that treats any underlying disease.

For this reason, many pharmaceutical companies worldwide are racing to find a vaccine. Of course, the one who discovers it first wins the race.

Possible Solution for the problem

The Mafia

At the start of this pandemic, many companies rushed towards providing medical supplies to the patients. This eventually caused a deficiency. The pharmacy companies took advantage and made lots of money. It made the availability of lifesaving medical supplies difficult and expensive. The mafia kept on selling the medical supplies at extortionate prices. And how the piling of dead bodies was much easier.

The Action

This type of selfish behaviour caused many poor people to fall victim. Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) has now called on no profiting from the drugs or vaccines. which are getting used in this pandemic. They have even advised the government to take strict measures on price control on the antibody test and other TTR methods. The aim of this is to save as many lives as possible without making a profit from the needy patient.

Many testing systems were charging a fortune just for testing. Measures are on their way now to make them available for everyone by shutting down this profit mafia.

Will they make a million from this?

In light of the events and other examples around the world, a strict order is taking over. Profits from the medical supplies used in this pandemic are going to be the bare minimum. That includes the discovery of a Covid-19 vaccine, whichever company discovers it first. It also consists of any research teams that are in the race for finding a cure.

The company that will eventually succeed in finding a cure will have to abide by these rules.

Conclusion

In a nutshell, many events in the past caused a large number of loss of innocent lives. There is no doubt pharma companies would try to get the advantage of the vaccine. The problem would have escalated if one of them discovered it. They would’ve sold it for whatever price they deemed fit.

Now, with MSF focusing on saving more lives. Many more countries are also enforcing laws that will ensure the price is kept in check when they do discover a possible cure. This will, in turn, make sure that more people have the availability of it. Therefore a lot will people will benefit from it when they start to release it.
